Lifeng Wang is a partner and the EVP of Global Development of Hoplite Inc., in charge of its global development in financing and co-productions with a focus of China related opportunities and scripted TV and film content development and production. Mr. Wang received his Master’s degree specializing in Computer Animation from The University of British Columbia in Vancouver Canada. Mr. Wang’s work experience includes two years with Vertigo Technology Inc. creating 3-D computer animation software. In 1995, Mr. Wang founded Xing Xing Computer Graphics Inc. in Vancouver and in 2004 founded Xing Xing Digital Corp. in Beijing. Xing Xing Digital Corp., with over 350 employees, was ranked as one of the top 25 animation studios in Asia by Animation Magazine in 2007 specializing in both international outsourcing and original content production. Mr. Wang is an active producer working on numerous US-China coproduction live action film and TV projects, including a documentary The Long March which premiered worldwide on The History Channel and won the 50th Cine Golden Eagle award. In 2015, Mr. Wang executive produced Skiptrace, a US-China coproduction, staring Jackie Chan, Johnny Knoxville, Bingbing Fan and directed by Renny Harlin. In early 2017, Mr. Wang founded Times Film Group, to develop, produce and invest in films and TV projects between Hollywood and China. Mr. Wang works with various Chinese entertainment companies to buy films for distribution in China and co-finance film/TV projects with China. Mr. Wang bought distribution rights for films such as Expendables 4 (Nu Image), Rolling to You (Gaumont), Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (Voltage), The Night Clerk (Highland) and negotiated Sony’s slate financing deal on behalf of Chinese investors.
